'Fifthe Chelek's' comment to Joe:
The comment made by the 'Fifth Chelek' was designed to bait Yossel Gutnick. There is no question that the 3 head shluchim; Yossel Gutnick, Chaim Tzvi Groner and Arel Serebryanski continue to recognize one shliach exclusivly in the Melbourne CBD- Rabbi Chaim Herzog. In fact, there was a 'Simchas beis Ha'shoevo' farbrengen that took place on Chol hamoed sukkos, that was exclusivly for the Shluchim in Melbourne,Rabbi Chaim Herzog was invited and he attended.
Once again we see how the Fifth Chelek writes nothing but lies and rubbish.

From Yanky,
Just to make things clear there are 3 'Head Shluchim' in Melbourne; Rabbi Chaim Tzvi Groner, Rabbi Yossel Gutnick, Rabbi Aharon Serebryanski. If one performs any Chabad activities in the CBD, or in any part of Melbourne for that matter, he must have the consent from all three 'Head Shluchim'. Therefore any activities that David Werdiger does in the CBD, being that he doesn't have the consent of these Shluchim, aren't Chabad activities, nor should any Lubavitchers associate themselves with him and his so called 'peuloys', it is shocking that there are those people who call themselves Lubavitchers and support his activities

Reply to Joe...
Joe,
It is very sad for anyone to have a family member like David Werdiger with a mental illness. You are right – the whole family deserves our sympathy.
Does that mean it is OK to try to set up JBD - Jews of the CBD? To allow him to run around abusing and cursing and harassing people? This is not good for David Werdiger and not good for the community!

Yechi David Werdiger!
H.S. Says....
.
.
I noticed something very hypocritical on Friday night in the house of Mendel Serbryanski, where a celebration in honor of his 50th birthday was taking place, during maariv, after Lecho dodi, Yechi was sung for around half an hour, and lo and behold I see David Werdiger dancing with them!
This is very hypocritical in light of the fact that not only was he very instrumental in the anti yechi movement, he was the one who wrote to Rabbi Telsner, as well as slandering the Yeshiva Center in an article quoted by failedmessiah.typepad.com in which he says: “It is sad and ironic that this has happened in our community, many of whose founders lived under an oppressive regime in Soviet Russia where there was a standard method for dealing with dissent.”

Comment from Steve:
"As I wrote on the other site, it's just before Yom Kippur. [quote of comment removed because we have edited it] all this Chillul Hashem?
PS Rubashkin's appeal has just been dismissed. Time for some introspection."
A) The 'fifth chelek' was started in November 2010. In December 2010 David Werdiger and his cronies submitted a controversial article to 'Galus Australis'. 'Melbourne Chabad Talk' took off only recently in May 2011, in order to provide a voice to those who were being slandered on the 'Fifth Chelek'.
B) With regard to the mention of it now being prior to Yom Kippur. Let us take a look at what the Shulchon Oruch says about forgiveness for those sins that one commits between man and his fellow. The shulchan oruch states that prior to Yom Kippur one should ask his fellow for forgiveness, if he has sinned against him. The Shulchon oruch then goes into details of how one must ask forgiveness (he must state the details of the sin, he must do it in front of 3 people etc.) following that it states, the one who is forgiving should not be mean, rather, he should go ahead and forgive right away, however, if one spread a bad name about someone else, he has no obligation to forgive, because, there may be people that heard the slander and didn't hear the reconciliation, and they may think the slander was true.
Therefore in the true spirit of Yom Kippur, the members of the fifth chelek should take off the masks they hide behind and correct their wrongdoings, by stating that they regret the lies that they published and by asking forgiveness publicly from the people that they have defamed.
